How does vehicle insurance work as my vehicle ages?

Saturday, April 30th, 2011
Lacey asked:

For example, I purchased a 2007 Monte Carlo in 2008. Obviously, being a sportier car insurance isn’t the cheapest. My insurance has been $420 every six months since I got it. My question is, as this car ages will my insurance company start to decrease the price as the vehicle’s value goes down? Is this something I have to request (like a “refinance” my policy situation)? Something that happens naturally?
I plan to keep this vehicle. It’s just an example.

I go to college in Alabama, but stay in Florida during the Summers. Insurance here in Florida is six times the amount it would be in Alabama. Can I get insurance there (where my car will be most of the time), and still go into Florida?

How does funeral insurance work if everyone dies?

Friday, March 4th, 2011
Jason D asked:

I don’t get it – unlike natural deasters or things like your house burning down or getting cancer etc, death is guaranteed, so how do insurance companies make money off funeral insurance? They must be covering their costs? So wouldn’t you just be better putting $2.50 into a savings account each week?

Confused.

Let’s say there’s a family, and there’s three different prescriptions for different medications within the family. Let’s say the Dad is paying for health insurance. Do you just pay for health insurance once, when you register for it? Do you pay $20 monthly? Does the price you pay go up when you add more medications? I’m confused.

How does business insurance work in a lawsuit?

Saturday, October 17th, 2009
asked:

As a small business, I’m finally getting around to looking at business insurance. God forbid I should get sued, but that would be the only reason I would get insurance at this point.

If I get sued (assuming I did nothing wrong that would terminate coverage), what are my responsibilities with regard to paying legal fees? What role will the insurance company play or what control will they have in the litigation process?
