Insurance?

Stephen J asked:

I recently graudated from college and will be moving to a different city for a job, one that my parents don’t live in.

I really had thought about it, but my roomate said something and so I need an answer.

Will I still be on my parents insurance, even though I graduated and live in different city? I am 21, and my parents plan on keeping me on their plan, but the insurance company won’t make me get my own seperate plan, will they?

I didn’t think they would, but my roomate wondered why I was still allowed on my parents insurance as of now.
I will be staying in state.

I just purchased a used vechile. So on Monday I will call to tell them of that, so they can put it on the insurance and then say that it will be used primarily in Houston, not Lubbock. This will obviously make my rate go up somewhat, I just don’t want them to tell me I have to get my own plan or my rates will significantly go up.
#2 answer.

I don’t know if that applies with my insurance/state. My brother is currently in school, but he is 24 and still on my parents insurance.

I figure I will lie to the insurance company tell them I am going to go to school down there next semester, if I have to, and just wait until August to get a really good deal.

It’s not that I cant afford it, but if I can stay on my parents plan and save a $100 a month, I’m going to try.

I am 16 years of age , live in AR, and a secondary driver on my parents’ insurance. We have State Farm. My insurance is running around $104 a month. Now I got a speeding ticket for 70 in a 40 zone. It’s going on my record, so I was wondering how much my insurance would jump to?

Jesus V asked:

We live in Florida, and my son has just turned 16, He wants to get his licenses but we don’t want our insurance to go up too much. From what I hear it is very expensive, yet i hear other people saying that some auto insurance company’s have very cheap rates for adding a first time driver. So if there are any other parents that know of a company that they use that is pretty cheap please let me know.
Thank you.
Yes we are planing on “adding” him to our plan.
